Start with the recipient, then choose the flowers
Write down the recipient’s full name, city, local phone number and the place where they are most likely to receive the gift. A home address may be more practical than an office if the recipient will finish work early. For a hotel, identify the property and booking name; for a hospital, obtain the ward’s permission before choosing flowers.
Choose a bouquet that suits the receiving situation. A very large arrangement can be awkward for someone travelling home after work. If a vase is important, check whether the selected product includes one instead of relying on the photograph.
Keep sender and recipient details separate
- Use your own email for the order confirmation and any questions about payment.
- Use the recipient’s name and reachable phone number for delivery.
- Enter the delivery address in the delivery fields, and your billing details where requested.
- Add the card message as you want it printed. Check names, spelling and the sign-off.
Confirm the date in Jordan
Read the delivery date carefully before checkout. “Tomorrow” can become ambiguous when you are ordering late at night from another country. Use a full date in any special instruction and refer to Amman time when discussing timing.
For a birthday or anniversary, ordering ahead gives you more room to resolve an address question. Treat a preferred arrival time as a request until the shop has accepted it. A delivery date and an exact appointment are different commitments.
Understand the final payment screen
Botanica’s delivery policy says checkout is charged in USD, while browsing prices can be displayed in USD or JOD. Review the selected product, extras and delivery charge together. Your card provider can explain any conversion or overseas-transaction charges that apply to your account.
Save the order number and confirmation. If the payment screen is unclear or an email does not arrive, check the order status with the shop before submitting the same order again. Avoid creating a duplicate gift while trying to resolve a payment question.
A reusable overseas sender brief
Copy this structure into your own notes, replacing the brackets with real details. It is a planning template, not a completed order or delivery example.
- Sender: [name, email and number you can monitor].
- Recipient: [full name and local phone number].
- Destination: [city, neighbourhood, building and receiving point].
- Date: [full calendar date]; [any deadline the florist has explicitly accepted].
- Gift: [product, selected size and confirmed extras].
- Message: [exact card text and sign-off].
Before payment, check that the confirmation screen uses the same recipient, date and selected gift. If your contact cannot answer international calls easily, agree a suitable contact channel with the shop.
Questions you may still have
Can I order without visiting a shop in Jordan?
Yes. Botanica offers online ordering for delivery. Prepare the recipient details and review the available date before payment.
Must the recipient know I am sending flowers?
You can request a surprise, but address confirmation or delivery coordination may require contact. Ask how the shop can handle that before assuming complete secrecy.
Should I use my address or the recipient’s?
Use the recipient’s address for delivery and your own details for billing where requested. Keep both contact numbers clearly labelled.
